Hydraulic hood pistons

On one episode of Jay Leno's Garage, he discusses a modified 1976 2002 with Mark Norris of the Bavarian Workshop.  Norris replaced the scissor-type hood assembly with very cool hydraulic piston set=up mounted on the front.  Does anyone know where to buy such pistons and how they can be mounted?
