Fitted Miata Seats in my 02

I've seen some threads on others putting these seats in.  Here's my attempt at fabbing up some brackets and welding (first time welding). I don't have much, just a sharpie, angle grinder and a welder.  Designed so that the seats are level, and all the sliding and spring return functions operate properly.  Using the holed angle iron as the base I can remount them forward or back for extremely short or tall drivers.

 

Went this route because Recaros are too expensive and hard to find, and by the time they're reupholstered you'd be out $$$.  These miata seats once reupholstered look very similar to classic porsche 912 911 seats (last pic for reference).

I like mine, comfortable, well built and cheap. I'll weld up some brackets when I get a welder.

Mine are just bolted adaptors.
