New discovery, well at least for me

Bought some seats from the local junkyard, out of an e30 sedan. They actually bolt up no modifications needed. Just bought some longer than oem bolts. M6x1.0 40mm. Fits nice, but they’re a little high but manageable. They also do not fold forward enough to get into the rear seats. They came out of a four door, they’re not intended to fold that much forward. If anyone can or has tried e30 coupe seats let me know how it worked out.

That may be a problem because seats you have do not have seat back tilt mechanism found on 2 door cars.  really not much you can do about it except slide seat forward as far as it will go and pull up on adjuster handle (you may get a couple extra inches by pushing down on black handle which will raise the seat by rotating the legs forward)

Yeah not much room to get into the back seats but it’s alright for the time being. Picked them up on sale for 30 bucks. Beats what was on before haha

I installed a set of e30 m3 seats in my 02 which was a chore.  I didn't like the height of the seats on the original mounts so with a bit of back yard engineering i installed the e30 frames on original 02 seat frames, still using the 02 seat sliders, and have all the adjustments except the height adjuster and seating height is nearly the same height as the original seats.
