Anybody got the BMW part numbers for front windshield rubber

51 31 7 440 104 front seal, to early <72

I bought one off ebay and recently read that pre-72?? is a different part number. Does someone have both early and late part numbers so that I can confirm which gasket I have when I go home tonight.

the early one has a groove for the metal "dragon teeth" strip that is on the body. Later cars had no metal strip, so no extra groove in the seal.

different between squaretails and roudies even.

I got mine there as well (can't remember the seller)

and it was incorect for my '71.

The incorrect number is:

51 31 1817 764

the correct number is:

51 31 7 440 104 (Paul can get 'em)

Someone on the board said they would

interchange but Paul says no and I'd rather not

flood the cab as I park outdoors.
