I think the original poster was in search of old production panels, specifically - due to flaws in production quality / damage / thickness issues found with the more current ones sold. 

 

I'm not selling any and I have no skin in the game... none.....zero. nada.  just noting that the old production ones included the roof edge/drip rail edge. I think you're correct that going all the way up to the roof line introduces a ton of extra work, and that the upper portion isn't essential for proper panel replacement. I wondered if these panels were cut after they were purchased from BMW, and also drilled for plug welds along the door opening... not that they were in any way inferior, in their original state.
