Plastic fuel line from trunk to firewall

Recommended Posts

If you replace the OEM plastic fuel line, use ONLY the OEM stuff.  The plastic line is engineered to collapse and seal itself if it's subjected to fire...and I know it works, as I found out the hard way when my auto body instructor set my back seat on fire while showing me how (not) to weld up a rocker panel.

It was a learning experience:  I did discover you can remove a 2002 back seat cushion in two seconds flat when it's on fire.  Where the fuel line was subjected to the flames from the burning seat, it closed right up and didn't cause a major conflagration.
