He is going to give out the money to his community.  I am going to give him 10% of my paycheck when I get it later today, personally however.  His personal paypal is harrypr@gmail.com and the "Harry Fund" is prclassicbimmer@gmail.com. If you want to pay the fees and use gofundme the link is above. :)  (The paypal ones give you the option of sending via the "friends and family" thing so no fees. :)

Anyway the DEADLINE IS AT NOON TODAY!  That is when I am transferring the money!! If you are late submitting your funds, there's a fee for that!!! ;)

Hello to all.

I hope I can reach all of you that have so kindly contributed to the GoFundMe campaign which Robert Shisler was so kind to open for me.

First of all, I can not thank you all enough for caring the way you do. I feel fortunate to be part of the best car enthusiast community in the world. As I mentioned on my comment on the campaign page, and via message to some of you, I am doing fine. My house is intact, we have been able to get water and food, and I am working full time in the manner I can find gasoline to purchase for my commute. My employer has been more than flexible and very helpful in this situation. There are many a lot less fortunate, and that is the main reason for this post.

I have asked Robert to use a different PayPal account to send the funds to (PRClassicBimmer@gmail.com). My intention is that the funds be used to help others who have greater needs to get up on their feet. I will do this with input from other classic BMW owners in the island and will report back.

Once again, a million thanks and blessings to all of you. I feel the love from the community and hope I can in some way correspond back to you all this awesome gesture.

Peace to all.

Hey everyone!  We are still chugging along!  Just got another $100 donation, this time from Andreas Hegedus!  THANK YOU ANDREAS!

Also, I finally sent out individual "thank you" emails to everyone whom I hadn't done that for in the past.  Once again, the love in the 02 community is REAL!  Could not be more proud to be part of this amazing group of humans. :) <3

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
