Early 80's Maserati Quattroporte III - Thoughts?

I have line on an '82 Maserati quattroporte 3 in mint condition with 82,000 original miles on the odometer.  I always liked the look of these but know nothing about them.  Anyone have any knowledge about these cars?  Is it worth buying?

I'd expect much higher costs for parts than 02s, but they look and sound great, and if it seems like a good deal, i'd say why not?  There have to be Maz clubs online who can help you better with specifics, no?

To be honest there isn’t much about these on the Maserati forums I’ve looked at.  I don’t think there is much love for them unfortunately.  I passed on the car I was looking at because it had a cracked windshield and a new one is NLA.
