Cool looking in a Chip Foose Pro Touring way..Personally I hate the pro touring 'craze' you see exploited on Velocity. Putting Lo Pro cheesy chrome wheels on a classic car should be a federal offense!! OR just Hang Chris Jacobs up by his 'jumblies'!!!.

Seriously not bad looking wheels..Dial it back a bit and make them alloy and they might a sell a bunch more here

On the website they look alot more at home on the late model Beemer imhso'

ps teelinger is that a Mintgrun roundie'? I love that color on a roundie! I just saved that pic to my02' Hall of Fame photo file...

Yep, Mintgrun roundie. Not original to the car, or year, but it works for me. Kids named him Kermit. He's wearing VW Corrado steelies.

I like widened steelies very much....but...give me 13's or give me death!

yup..I traded a set of decent Chromadora CD 40's for stock 13's with new chrome rings. Freinds thought I was bonkers. The Pirelli CN36 in 13"s re release is the highlight of my life lo

I cant imagine what those weigh. My 13x 6.5 are heavy pigs

This I'm also curious about...

My good buddy has custom-made widened steel wheels on his track car, I forget the brand, perhaps they're Bassetts? But they're 15x8.5 or 9? I also forget. but they are impossibly light...

His wheel tire package with Toyo R888r's are about the lightest wheel setup I've seen for the price, alloy included. And if ya dent em' on a curb you can straighten them out easily.

I love the look of these wheels but don't want to burden the 2002 with more weight.  Would they be that much heavier than the e30 14x6 steelies?

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
