It is a MR Gasket wire holder for a Chev V-8.  You can have the other one (I have two) if you are willing to pay the shipping from Vancouver Canada.  PM me if you are interested.

Scoob you are doing amazing work. Wasn't this just supposed to be a temporary block?

Yup, but doesn't mean I shouldn't do it right, and make it look good :) it would drive me crazy to have to look at that rusty blue block the way it was, even if it ran fantastic.

And in all honesty, if all goes well I could end up driving it for the next 3-5 years and just enjoy it. The value is in driving the car and still having the original motor, doesn't necessarily need to be in it collecting wear and tear.

Yes sir Buckeye.  I have had that reminder note in the bag with the bolts for awhile. Also had to go to Sears for the T-50 driver and got deal of the decade. Single driver was almost $9, but then I saw a 10 piece Lisle set on sale for $15, made in USA nonetheless

Went to pay and they told me I had almost $10 in mystery money or some promotion so I got that nice set for about $6 ?

Where'd ya get that foam hockey-puck isolator??

I've got the same E21 4speed, and the PO just had a piece of shitty egg crate foam there.

I'm re-freshing this linkage platform on my car this weekend.

Cheers!

Did a full engine bay clean up today & picked up my air cleaner from blasting and coating. Just installed it.

Tomorrow. Having a vinyl repairman come over to fix the 2in tear in my drivers seat.
