I started my '73tii after years of sitting and watched the Kugelfischer pump o-rings leak.  Yay.  It was expected, but now I'm on the hunt for some non-bend-over-priced o-rings.

Moving to your next post ;)  The thing about fuel seals is that they shrink once the fuel has evaporated.  Often they will re-seal once fuel is re-introduced.   Any chance your seals could be soaked in gas or are they just too square.  I see at trip to Ace or Lowes in your future.

Been there.  These are too far gone and I don't think they're the right material anyway.

Got my main bearing caps all cleaned up, along with a ton of other bits and pieces I didn't get around to taking photos of.

If you guys haven't messed with a product called 'Evaporust', it's badass. Everything I threw into the tub of this shit was almost solid brown with surface rust. Some light, some heavy. After soaking for a day everything was clean and rust free. Nutso.

Knocked out the freeze plugs on the block and replaced them, and for good reason. Several blew through when knocking em out.

I followed this out by masking the block and wiping it down with thinner in preparation for paint tomorrow :)

Applied a thick coat of turd-laquer to my once rusty donor motor.

She's polishing up nicely :)

Did the grommets in the doors, along with the window scraper, installed a power lock mechanism, opened up the hole for the speaker (I didn't do the horrible hack job on the doors) so I can fit a better speaker.   I wrapped it all up with soundproofing and new clips.

I straightened the kinked LR corner on my '73 "parts car". I need to work on the upper lip of the quarter panel a little more. There's no filler in there, just gentle manipulation of the metal with hammers and dollies. I think a few coats of high build primer and you'll never know it'd been kissed.
