Read somewhere that it's a good idea to refresh the oil in the KFish pump at each oil change.  Can't hurt to have fresh oil in the pump so now it's going to be a new habit of mine.  The oil is circulated back into the pan anyway as new oil is incoming from the filter.  Clean, clean, clean.

I installed this innertube rubberband

(I got tired of the buckles getting in the way of the seats).

The white spots are powder, from inside the tube.  not mildew.  not yet.

I used a Michelin tube, made of Spanish rubber.

Is that a rubber mat on the trans hump?

I need to do the rubber band trick too.

Is Spanish rubber as fine as Corinthian Leather?

Yes, imho.  But unfortunately, it only comes in black.

Yes, I cut up an old Mercedes trunk mat and used it on the tunnel and in the console.

My carpet is really faded there and now I don't have to care.

I also used a piece of a smaller tube to pad the tips of the E-brake cables, along with the red cap.

This allows me to use the boot, without cutting the cable ends off.  I might miss that length, when I put new drums and shoes in... someday.

Those photos were taken the day I stripped that silly wire off of the driver's side buckle, because it also interfered with the plastic hinge covers on my seats.

I sort of have a thing for innertube rubberbands.

It is fun to make them on the paper cutter.

I like to keep a variety on hand...

EDIT:  I almost forgot, there is also a large innertube rubberband around the bottom of the rubber shift boot, to keep it from popping off.

Well I took the Tii for what I thought was going to be 'Cars & Coffee this morning. Not. They moved the location from what was in the Tarheel BMWCCA Monthly newsletter. Guess Jeff Harris was right. Anyway took a picture of Red sitting by its lonesome in the parking lot. Wasn't going to drive across town to the new location.
