Description:

Selling my 1968 BMW e10. The car has been sand blasted and sealed and the engine bay painted before the freshly rebuilt motor was put back in. These cars are getting very hard to find and this car is a true survivor that will need some minor bodywork before being painted. I purchased the car 3 years ago in its current state and placed the car in storage and did minor work to it but I do not have the time to finish. I have about 3 parts cars worth of spare parts that will go with the car. the best way to get an idea of what is left to complete is to just come take a look at it. The motor is a fully rebuilt m10 2.0 with dual DCOE 40 carberators and a larger cam. the motor is mated to a e21 BMW 5 speed with a fresh oem clutch and flywheel. It has a lsd rear differential with a cooling fin cover to deliver power to the rear wheels. I dropped the rear subframe and replaced bushings and resealed the rear diff before filling it with fresh fluid. The full front suspension, sub frame, and motor were all completely rebuilt and replaced. The car has custom built adjustable coilovers front and rear. The fronts are modified BC 32 way adjustable coil overs that are fabricated to the stock steering knuckles. the rear has the same but without adjustable dampening rebound. The only parts of the car that I'm missing is some interior pieces and seats. This is a rare car that has had all the expensive parts and work done. All it will need is the wiring completed to the trunk (which I have), the body and paintwork, and interior parts installed. These cars are getting difficult to find and fetching high prices. I wish I could keep it but I would rather see someone complete it and get it back on the road where it belongs. Come take a look at the car and make an offer. I will be including all my extra parts with the car (garage full). I will post pictures tomorrow.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
