Group Buy Interest? Windshield Sun Shade

I've had one that looks identical to yours for many years.  Have they gone NLA?  Either way, these are a great idea and really help keep your car cool and dash crack-free.  They are a bit pricey, but last forever.

I'm interested, but can you sell me a bit more? What makes the covercraft better than other "custom fit" sunshades out there? It looks pretty high quality, but why/how?

I went with Covercraft because they're a reputable company who's been making these for years. Their sunshades are made in the US and the quality control is superior to cheaper "universal" Chinese competitors. I've have great experience with their customer service and my "prototype" has been awesome on hot days. As for other "custom fit" sunshades out there, I haven't been able to find much, and nothing promising. This is the only unit I know that fits properly in our 02s, as I designed the template myself and have been working directly with a rep from the company.

Yes! I will take one too!

Black 02, with black seats, with silver grommets on the seats ... yeah, having a sunshade is probably a good idea for me more than Tesoro..! [emoji6]

I will take one please! I have the same brand for my e46 and they work great. Does this one come with the sleeve for storage - keeps it nice and neat! Thanks for doing this!

I might be interested.  How is it better than the weathertech shades that are the same price?

I have no experience with what's on the WeatherTech website. If anyone has tried one, tell us what you think! The Covercraft units are top quality and fit like a glove - I worked directly with the company to get the fit dialed-in for our 2002s. No mystery or funny business here, just proper sunshade!

Someone made a batch of 2002 sunshades maybe 10-15 years ago, but nothing has surfaced since. Yours could be from that batch, and you're totally right, they do make a huge difference! A worthy investment, no doubt.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
