Recommended Posts

it is that time again!  the annual pilgrimage to hang out with friends, drive some cool roads and have a few beers.  oh...and go to some field and park with 400 or so other cars....

as usual, our group will be leaving from my place early thursday morning.  could go the normal route with a late morning stop at the Crazy Greek for food, then SW through Danville.  or..we could get radical and do the less interesting route west on 66 and south forever on 81.

more specific details as we get closer...who is in??????

Jim G

Chuck D  (M3)

Matthew C

Chuck P

Livi Willis

Jeff Holmes

Phaedon Hain

Lytle/Gerock rig for trip with test loading.  The new hotel parking lot was a bit small for the big enclosed we brought last year, going lighter and smaller....substitute Jim's Rivera for the M2..

I'm bringing the family this year, so I'll be driving separately. Toddler and pregnant wife may cause more restroom stops than the caravan will tolerate.

if we go the "greek" route, y'all can always go that far with us and/or just join us for the meal.

I'm in.

I vote to keep the tradition of Crazy Greek alive, even if we eat 'lunch' at 10am. That route was more interesting and enjoyable.

Also add:

Livi Willis

Jeff Holmes

Phaedon Hain

I will add more names as I get responses

If I can knock off a day early maybe I can meet up in Danville, I don't think I'd swing all the way over to Richmond from Harrisonburg. (or if you guys end up blasting down 81, there's some great breakfast/lunch spots here. =)

There's another group leaving this area on Friday morning in case anyone wants to meet up run down this route.

"We are headed out on Friday, May 19, at 9 am. Leaving Port Republic, heading south on 340, to 250 at Waynesboro; taking 15 to Rt. 29 South to Greensboro and onto Asheville on the I-40."

Got to love the creativity of this swap meet seller.  Sign on this welder says "used once by Hans Stuck to repair a strut at NRing".
