Hey guys,

Having issue disconnecting the brake pedal from the shaft that travels up to the master vacuum.  It is the only thing stopping me from removing my pedal box and I cannot figure out what I need to do because my shop manual is rubbish in this section.  Any advice?

Hi Travis,

I assume you mean the dreaded bitch clip, one at each end of that rod. I get them off by putting a really thin flathead and use some extended needle nose to push off.

Quick search on google yielded this result:

Good luck I specifically hate removing/installing the one behind booster.. stay persistent.

Yes, they are aptly named.  I'd add a small mirror on a stick and a bright liggt to Edgar's excellent advice...

IIRC there's a replacement clip which simplifies subsequent installation. And de-installation.

Search!
