Help -front bilstein strut and h&r sport

My shop is having difficulty installing the Front struts and the front H&R sport springs....is there a trick? Did I order the wrong springs or struts?

What exactly are they having trouble with?

They said the struts don't fit with the new h&r springs.  

 

They Also said that the struts would work with the stock springs.  

 

It was confusing I need to get over there and see.

makes no sense........maybe they dont like that the springs are a bit loose?....as they are shorter?

 

 

its super simple...basic 101 stuff..........

That's what they just said - they installed the strut and spring and that the springs are too short for the cartridge and are subsequently  loose while car is on the lift.  Is it supposed to be that way without the load of the car?

That is the way mine fit with my H&R springs/HD struts.

A bit loose until the weight is on them.

That is normal.

Many people (like me) zip tie or wire them to the spring cups to keep them from moving off the pads when the car is lifted.

Normal. Safety wire them in place.

Couple things to help with short springs:

 

and safety wire the fronts ( a thread with almost the same title)

 

I clamped the rear spring to the perch (read about 1/2 way down):

All this safety wiring and clamps help tremendously when you jack the car up in the air and the springs want to fall off their perches.  You are forced to slowly lower the car while resetting the springs into their proper place.  PITA.
