early heater valve to heater hose

Buy another one of the adaptor type hoses from Blunt (the long one) and cut it. If I build another early car I would make everything 18 mm to prevent headaches.  The heat in my 69 is really good - even with the small heater valve and core. Wonder why BMW changed it?

They had trouble with the small brass- on- brass valve.

I think the original BMW coolant spec had lube in it.

Plus, there's Scavahoovia-

VW gave up and fitted a gas burning heater

to T3's going up there.

The heater core in my Volvo 122 is bigger than the radiator...

and so on...

This sounded familiar to me - I just replaced something similar on my '72 240Z.  Nissan part number 14054-E3001 is just over 18mm at one end and just under 13mm at the other.  Might just work and is readily available for around $4.
