I heard it's a money laundering method , sell  to people you know for stupid money end up with clean money in paypal , hence the daft prices for iphones , & some car parts etc that probably never exist except in cyber space.

Correct! iPhone, fees and income tax will take 20%. That's 20cent a dollar for clean 80 cents. eBay know about this but they'll stay quiet until federal police work this out. I just hope they fine eBay.
