I've heard rumors that Washington State 02s fly south for the winter.  It might be true (and smart).

Can't blame them. My car would probably be down there if it wasn't trapped on the lift.

It did get out recently though.

Saw rain and climbed back up on the lift for 6 more weeks.

Bento, what wheel and tire combo is on your car? Size?

Those are BBS RS001 wheels in 15x7et25. Tires are 195/50r15 Yokohama S-Drives.

Bento, is that a HD-9?

Yep, HD-9. Takes up my whole bay in the garage so can't do much work on that side anymore . On the other hand, I didn't have to scrape ice off the daily's windshield or dig pine needles out of every vent and crevice on the SS all winter. Very worth it! I'm pretty happy with it so far. I just wish it lowered more quickly. I find I'm less likely to take the 2002 out on a whim now.

Im hoping to build a detached garage in the next 18-24 months though, so this will get me by until then.

Lots of air cooled VW's in that C&C picture.

It was actually a VW show. A buddy just got a 64 Beetle that he wanted to take so I invaded.

I have seen a ton of 2002s in the SF area as of late, with which I was otherwise unfamiliar. Inka roundie in Mountain View, a beautiful tan square light in SF, a lemon yellow survivor in SF, and a malaga survivor in SF. Also still trying to figure out who owns the jason-masked kidney grill 2002 in the Mission. That thing is incredible.
