hopefully much easier topic than figuring out best carburation set up.

in everyones opinion is a 1 piece carpet  or the multi carpet kit by esty's the way to go?

Esty's. Many have said installing the one piece carpet is a royal PITA.

Depends on what year you have    one piece for 74 and up, the early cars had the multi carpets

Yep, the molded set for '74-'76 are a bit harder to fit the floor contours without using some steam, and the sets I've seen are not made from quality materials.  The earlier multi-piece set works in all cars.

the one piece carpet will be cut pile...like the carpet in newer cars...unless something's changed with the manufacturer

original BMW carpet was loop style carpet
