Bilstein HD Rear Jingling Question

Trying to sort out the jingling noise at the rear of my car.  Currently have Bilstein HDs.  They are relatively new.  As mentioned a jingling noise is coming from the washers on the shocks.  There is a ridge on the shaft, the left shock has a small round spring ring that keeps the washer in place to avoid the ringing.

The right shock has no spring ring allowing the washer to bounce around and make it's noise.

Any help to learn how to replace the round spring ring would be appreciated. I tried a C clip, it didn't work.

The notch below is where the spring ring fits.

But then you won't have anything to complain about :D

I fixed the clunk on the blue car front suspension finally. The PO's paint on the strut housing threads wouldn't allow the nut to seat tightly.

;-)

Cheers,

Ray

Stop reading this! Don't you have anything better to do?? :P
