Steering column question

Presume you want to transfer the later stalks (turn signal/ high-low beam on the left, windshield wipe/wash-wipe on the right) to your '69.  The physical steering column itself is the same AFAIK, however, your '69 has individual wires plugging into the terminals on the stalks; later cars use multi-wire plugs, so you'll have to do some sorting.  You'll also have to do some wire sorting as you're moving functions from one side of the steering column to the other.  And since the '69's wiper switch is on the dashboard, you will most likely have to make some wiring extensions so that the wiper wires will reach the steering column from their current location.

Find a wiring diagram for your '69, and then one from a squarelight so you'll be able to figure out which wire goes where.  Then think up a good use for that now useless dashboard wiper switch (fog or driving lights?) and you're done.

The basic question, though, is why?  You can get used to a right side turn signal switch a lot easier than going through all that trouble of moving the stalks around...
