Car Transport Company Recommendation

So I decided to buy the 68 Caribe 1600 that was listed here in the forum.  And now Im looking at having it shipped over to me in NY. Can anyone recommend reliable company?  I tried Uship when I had my e36 M3 shipped to me from Texas.  I guess its hit or miss with them because she shipper had a good rating, but ended up being a nightmare.  Any help is appreciated!  pic for attention!

Intercity, fairly expensive and worth it. No hassles, enclosed transport, I have shipped my cars with them several times and have had zero problems.

Enclosed transport is the way to go.

For me, pricing was an issue.  I went with the people below to transport my car from Boston to Frisco.  No complaints.

Virtually any open transport is going to be hit-or-miss, because, as I understand it, they're all brokers drawing from the same pool of shippers.

I second what Andrew said about Intercity for enclosed point-to-point transportation. Not cheap, but when I bought my dead Lotus Europa and had it shipped from Chicago, I solicited quotes for enclosed point-to-point, and Intercity was the lowest.

Or... drive it home! Have an adventure!! Ask me how I know!!!

Thanks for the replies. I actually contacted fisher shipping. Trying to decide on a couple of other recommended shippers. I wish I could drive it. But its a non running car. Hasn't been started in years. So that's not an option.

I concur with the Hack Mechanic.  I contracted to have a car shipped up from Florida, and soon realized most companies just contract out.  They put out a notice, and wait for a response.  Rural less travelled areas will take longer before they find a driver.  If car cannot drive onto truck, that will also be an additional expense.

Good luck,

Chris
