1970 1600/2002 Brake dust cover and coil over dust cover

Recommended Posts

Working on the details of two problems.

1) Converting to Willwood big brake kit in front. What dust cover/backing plate do I use? Original doesn't work. Too small.

2) I made coilovers out of my old struts. The new spring is 2.5 x 7 inches. The bellows that come with the strut insert is too big in diameter to fit in the spring. You have to use something to keep dust out.

My life might be complete if I can get solutions to these answers!!!

Thanks guys and gals.

Thanks Andrew Adams. Part Number 321111117426 is a boot for E21 steering. As for the dust shield, I beat the E10 shields flat on the outer lip and will probably go without if that doesn't work when I get to the reassembly.

I talked with a Bilstein tech last week and he agreed you will need to keep dirt off the struts for longevity. He didn't have an answer either but tried his best to make other stuff work. Andrew seems to have the best solution so far.

Many thks.
