2002 Steering Box Gear Oil

Hi Team

 

Any recommendations on what type of gear oil to use for a 2002 steering box? I recently bought a second hand one which was shipped with no oil inside and I want to make sure I use the right one before installing it.

I use following oil for my steering box and differential

I use Brad Penn Classic multi purpose gl-4 sae 80w90 gear oil.  It is safe for yellow metals and other soft metals.  Bought it from Summit Racing.

Might try this SAE85W90 grade. See how it goes.
