Really dumb euro marker question

Recommended Posts

Okay, I guess I'm an idiot, but I'm not seeing an obvious location for the two wires to go when I'm trying to connect these Euro corner markers I just picked up. One wire obviously sits inside the spring-loaded catch. Where does the second one go? On my USA corner marker, there are two leads that screw down onto both wires.

Upon further inspection, I'm not sure these Euro markers are set up to also be turn signals. Am I correct? The bulb on the USA marker has 2 contact posts on it, whereas the bulb on the Euro marker just has one. I'm assuming the two contact points relate to the USA light being both a corner marker and a turn signal. Thanks for any feedback.

For the US markers, one wire is for driving light, the other is for turn signal.  For the Euro markers, the one wire for driving goes to the little spring loaded socket in the front, the wire for turn signal goes to the larger socket/bulb in the back.  Both US and Euro markers are grounded via the two screws holding the whole assembly to the metal fender/car body.

The other wire goes to the arrow point in the picture below.

I just went through this not too long ago.  My euro lights didn't have the spring loaded setup in the front, where the red arrow in the picture above points to.  I used a bulb holder from AutoZone with two posts (like the one in the US turn signals), fit that in to the big hole where the bulb goes, then wired both lights to the bulb holder.  There's a writeup here somewhere.
