Shop recommendations in the NJ/NYC area?

Hi, recently bought my first 2002 and I'm looking for shop recommendations in the area. I can handle most issues with these cars myself but looking for a shop to handle some more restoration-related issues (mounting E30 seats, heater box rebuild, weather stripping etc)

Hey man, were you able to find anyone who knows these cars? I'm in Edgewater NJ. Bought my 02 about a year ago, still haven't found a true specialist....

was hoping you'd get some recommendations.  Im in the process of rebuilding a 1968 1600 and was looking for an 02 specialist in the area.

Recently had pleasant experiences with these two shops:

• General mechanic: Andre DiSalvo, proprietor at Barnett Auto Repair in LIC.
• Wheel alignment: Marbren Tire, also in LIC.

been a few years since this convo got any action so, wondering if anyone here has a stellar mechanic/shop recco for the NY/LI/NJ area? have a great alignment spot in brooklyn and used to have a great everything shop out in Montclair, NJ but he lost the lease a while back and decided to retire. 

 

appreciate any tips.

All customers from Levent (Guttenparts) are using AMS Autowerks in Edison, he has a full shop and has worked on all my BMW's but he has also worked on my Ferrari, I wouldn't take my cars to anyone else, except Tyspeed from Jacskon NJ who specializes on BMW's only.
