Warm up transmitter breather hose

Following up this thread I posted yesterday

 

 

and Gus' answer that all warm up transmitters/regulators leak to some degree( can't say for certain to what degree because no one else who stove top tested chimed in:( )

So i was thinking about adding a manual cut off valve to the breather that could be shut off after the car warms up ...

 

Wondering if anyone has tried this before or if it is even worth it? Any thought?

I've clamped the hose to the log (using extra long needle nose pliers) when my engine is warm and idling.  No change in idle speed occurs.  Therefore I'd say that minimal air is leaking from the WUR to the air intake when everything is warm.
