My great mechanic is deciding to start slowing down and move on into retirement. He is a BMW specialist and has about 5 acres of donor vehicles around his shop.

He would like to start moving these cars to good homes to keep our vintage classics alive. There are an estimated 100+ cars on his property. Vast majority are BMW's. He has 2002's, Bavaria's, 320i's etc that are good donor vehicles for someone's restoration.

He is mostly interested in selling the whole car and much less interested in selling them off part by part. (Although he has a few parts laying around he may part with).

Caveats:

They are pretty buried in the bushes and will not be easy to remove. He may pull some out, but you will be responsible for getting them out of there.

He is interested in serious shoppers. He will not be happy if people show up and they are not serious about obtaining the cars.

Don't offer him a pittance. He knows what he has.

Whole cars...not single parts from cars...

Call him ahead of time. He already runs on his own time clock. Plus he can keep his dogs at bay.

Tell him Vic Leonardo sent you.

I don't think he has a specific date. But just starting the process to clean up his property. I don't think he is shutting down soon.

Nice guy, great mechanic, just not rocket fast.

Have fun on your drive down the coast. Looking forward to some pictures. If Gordon ever finishes my 02 rehab, we should meet up somewhere.
