I don't know about you guys... but I am TIRED of this rain!

Looks like we have some sun this weekend! I wanted to do an impromptu NK and 02's CC in the North Bay to see if there are some Bay Area 02ers who will come out on Sunday morning?

I plan on bringing both Derby and Tesoro out!

The plan is Marin Coffee Roasters @ 466 Ignacio Blvd. in Novato 94949 , SUNDAY 02/12/17 I was thinking 8A-11A

Hope to see some of you there!

What a great little turn out in the North Bay! Thank you to those who came out! We'll have to do another one soon! Look forward to seeing more at the next one! Thank you to BayArea02 for the scrumptious donuts! And thank you to Bill Arnold who was Derby's driver today! 1f609.png

So bummed I missed this! I'm in San Anselmo and just bought a 1971 2002 yesterday. As soon as this rain lets up again -- count me in for a meet up!

Here's the new ride:

Thanks Lisa! Can't wait to see Tesoro :) Do you go to the C&C at Vintage Oaks first Sunday of every month?

I do try to make it out to the Marin CC every month... but it was raining in Jan and Feb and I didn't want to take my cars out... so if its not raining in March for the 1st Sunday, I'll pop over there in Tesoro...

That CC has gotten to be pretty large with so much car candy of all kinds ... so that's why I decided to do a small CC for NK's and 02s only for us people north of the GGB...

Hope to see you at an event soon! The more 02 friends the merrier! Enjoy your new purchase! :)

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
