Automotive grease type

Driv3r

Recommended Posts

Managed to dismantle the wiper arm. Bushings are not rubber. They are urethane like plastic and not removable. I like to use some sort of long lasting lubricant preferably water resistant before assembly.

I know aluminium or lithium base grease that is used in marine equipments have resistance to water but not sure if they would damage the bushing or it would be fine.

Could any one recommend suitable type grease? Thanks

A basic dielectric grease is my choice for water-resistant urethane-safe lube.

If you want to go the full Monty though, pick up a bit of Krytox grease.  It ain't cheap, but it works....
