Just read about this product in the March 2017 Classic Motorsports magazine for the PRI Trade show.

Introductory price for (2) "classic" DCOE assemblies with injectors and harness is $ 1,100.00.  Very interesting...

crank trigger, coil pack or COP, TPS, MSIII, new wiring harness for it all... etc etc

They have an optional TPS for about $ 150.00.

Jason - still like your Dellortos? Which car are you bringing to Vintage this year (if attending)?

Lou P. - are you going this year?

I have looked at the carbs (RJE?) but with all of the warnings ringing in my ears.  The internet is surprisingly free of people telling their stories of ownership (good and bad).

I guess you might not want to publicly state that you have made a mistake.

To make this idea more receptive, I think we as a group should investigate the total cost involved for such an option.

We know a unit/set would be $1100, TPS $150 but what kind of cost are we looking for the remaining required parts ( crank trigger, coil pack or COP, TPS, MSIII, new wiring harness), as well as where to get these parts or recommendations that work best?

My .02 cents.

45s are too big for the 2L Engine. You will have to wait for the 40s.

As for the cost, expect to spend between $4k and $6k on full conversion based on the ECU you chose, amount of labour you will do and the source for the parts.

I am using the Jenvey ITB's(essentially the same concept) with stand alone ECU(Link ecu), crank trigger, fueling, etc..

I will be happy to share my costs when running. I need a little more to go and I will start a blog.

The biggest hurdle is if you know or have the patience to learn how to tune your car.  It is not hard but, a learning curve if you don't know anything about it. I would recommend using a standalone that is popular in your local car/tuner/dyno scene or find someone with a great base map and tune from there(easy).

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
