Folks,

 

Looking at having my seats re-upholstered. Can anyone recommend a place to purchase seat covers and/or the raw vinyl. I am looking specifically for the tobacco colour for an early ti interior. The big issue I am having is the basket weave centre section that is dialectically sealed. Any advice, help, and or assistance is appreciated.

No good or easy answer for the early tobacco vinyl interiors!

 

If authenticity is a priority -- and it may well be for a rare ti -- a patient search for good used seats is the known solution.  Rear seats can serve as vinyl donors for failing drivers' seats.  But 45+ year old vinyl that remains pliable grows rarer every day.

 

Try World Upholstery to see if they have any vinyl colors close to tobacco -- they certainly have tan vinyls akin to the vinyls used on the '74-'76 cars.
