Exhaust Manifold 1970 '02

I am about to install a rebuilt engine into a 1970 '02 (VIN 1669260) and can't recall which manifold in my box o' manifolds goes with the engine.  The parts manual isn't much help.

Does anyone have pics of that year's manifold or know what attachments/plumbing it had on it?  I would like to keep this '02 period correct.

Thanks

Well, for true period correctness, you probably need an air pump, too-

1666365 had the whole air injection mess on it, with the air injection exhaust manifold.

Are you running the single Solex, too?

Toby's right about the air pump and other emission-related bits if you want to be period-correct.  My car (early '71, VIN 16793XX) has all of that still in there.  Are you planning to install that as well?  If so, let me know -  I'm thinking of taking mine out.

Thanks for all the help.

The previous owner was 5 years into the restoration when he moved on to that great Nurburgring in the sky. (Though, Jackie Stewart conversely called it "The Green Hell"!)  All the parts were left in piles and boxes so I am starting from scratch putting it back together.  From all the work he did I am guessing that he really wanted it back on the road in all its former glory.

Disclosure:  Once I can get it running I'll be listing it on 02faq/Craigslist with all the details.

Toby, I do have the Solex PDSI and plan on rebuilding it to use.  I'm uncertain about all of the emission stuff though and will probably leave that moral decision for the next owner.

Laundromatt, I am still sorting parts boxes but will let you know if I or the next owner would like to have your system.

Greg, thanks for the additional info.  This was an original Missouri car so I really can't say what it looked like when bought in St. Louis.  And I didn't get any of the emissions piping or air pump with the car so  I'm going to have to run with what I received with the car for now.

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
