What is this kitten thing all about?! I have been wondering for months now and now I can't bear it any more!!!

Oh, and while I'm getting my cluelessness off my chest, could somebody please give me a step by step tutorial on how to post pictures? After 7 years or so on this board, I think I'm ready to figure this one out!

thanks,

Coop

Post the pics on the photo hosting site, like Roadfly Gallery

(excusez le mot).

Open pic via board. When you cannot open the pic any

further (thumbnail - small pic - fullsize pic) right-mouse-click

on the pic and choose 'open pic in new window'. Now copy

the URL of the pic (*.jpg) to the clipboard. Then come to this

board (or open this board in another window), post your

message and paste the pic URL from the clipboard into the

"Image URL' field. Done!

...I realised that a long ribbon of drool had escaped the left corner of my mouth and was hanging, pendulum-like, about 3 inches off the carpet. However, this is probably due more to my computer ineptitude than anything else...I'll try it now and maybe it won't seem so difficult!

URL: http://www.geocities.com/karlkarlb/my_bmw_page.html

I don't remember who started it, maybe Al Canuck, but when someone would post a question that was clearly discussed thousands of times before (like "what transmission should I use for a 5 speed conversion?"), someone would post a picture that said something to the effect of "Everytime you post a question without searching the archives, a kitten dies" and it had a picture of a kitten getting chased by some strange creature called a Domo or something like that.

So, people started anticipating the killing kitten post and would say "I know I am killing kittens, but will an alternator from a 320i work on my 2002?"

Anyway, if I have explained something you already knew, then I apologize, but you probably could have gotten the answer to the kitten question by searching the archives and not killing any kittens in the process.

I saw the pic on a different board, and laughed my ass off. I could hardly wait to use it here as well. When I finally got my chance, the reaction was HUGE, so it got used lots ever since. For the record, it is NOT ME who kills the kittens. It is God.

easiest way is to sign up with Fototime

(fototime.com) 20 bucks per year or free for 30

days. Upload the pictures and click for an URL,

copy and paste on "image url" for one picture, if

you want to kill another kitten ask how to do it for

multiple pictures. A trick is to keep your favorite

urls in a wordprocessor program with description,

so when you want to use them, just copy and

paste (saves logging in fototime each time)

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
