If I understand you correctly the center back cushion has come loose at the top. Most Recaros have a double rod the extends across the width of the seat.  The bolsters loop behind both rods an attach to the seat pan with hog rings (shown in pic).  The center section loops under the top rod and is attached to the bottom rod also with hog rings.  You will be able to see this if you undo the bottom of the cushion (held in place with staples) and flip the center pad up.  See my pic of a Recaro seat pan.
