This is a British car show where they restore a car for a needy individual (normally medical issues) who has an emotional investment in their car but cannot finish their project.  The recipient is nominated by their family incognito, and the show's main characters sneak it out of their garage or yard somehow, restore it, and use some clever means to return it in a sometimes tear jerking reveal. Cool, sometimes heart-wrenching stories, sometimes corny humor; but none of the drama that's common in other shows.  My wife likes to watch the reveals.

According to official UK government sources, it was manufactured during 1975 but not registered for use on UK roads until 27 Feb 1978.
