Just bought this 1973 Becker Monte Carlo Sport. Have no Idea what these buttons are. I'm not going to use the radio but it will be hooked up to bluetooth iPhone music/radio.

Does anyone know what this plug is for? This is on the right side of the read, there is also antenna and 7 pin din connector on the left side. Searched google but nothing related was found. Any help is appreciated.

Interesting. I will check it with multimeter. Could use it to power up the bluetooth sender. Thanks

Trigger for a power antenna?

Mark nailed it.

It will raise and lower an electric antenna, when the radio is powered on and off, respectively.  As you likely already realize, power antennas are extremely rare on '02's.  I saw one installed once: an owner had drilled a hole in the right rear corner of the hood so the antenna, mounted in the right front fender, could raise and lower!

Powering a Bluetooth sender sounds like a good adaptive re-use!

Regards,

Steve

The O is a preset for a "news, talk radio station" the grace note is for your favorite "music" preset and the others select (1) the favorite station on the tuning band location and (2) sets the radio to appropriate respective frequency as follows in german:
L = Langwelle (long wave)
M = Mittelwelle (medium wave)
K = Kurzwelle (short wave)

AND if FM tuning section is present in the radio-
U = Ultrakurzwelle (ultra short wave) FM with frequently another
U and a second preset FM station.
