Removing rear driving flange question

Once again, I'm in need of help by BMW2002FAQ community...

Changing rear wheel hub studs (hopefully - the right way) by removing the driving flange.

So far - was finally able to remove axle nut (it was pain in the butt...)

Went to autozone and got my self a 3 jaw puller/extractor tool to rent.

Got it to grab side of the hub...

Now question - how do i keep tightening the puller, because it turns whole axle since there are no brakes.

Is there some sort of trick to remove that hub or am I missing something here...

Please help.

These might help, when i did mine, i stuck a breaker bar between my studs and then yarded on it.  Tapping the puller on the end with the sledge hammer was the key once it was tight.  Just took a small tap and away it came.

no problem, i find sometimes unless you get the search terms just right, it can be hard to find the right thread.
