another header question

I have a hardy and beck header with 1 3/8 primary tubes.    Any thoughts on using this header with  1.8i head, 32/36 combo. I'm currently using a tii exhaust manifold with stock muffler and resonator that seems to work well with a daily driven car.

The header will look cooler than the tii manifold but will yield no performance gains with that motor.  With some more compression and a cam, and the header might do something for ya!

 

PS -- If I remember correctly, the H&B headers is a Stahl marketed under a different name.  Good headers.

Thanks, your responses confirm what is generally accepted re exhaust systems and that is the system bmw designed for these cars is more than adequate for most applications.  Thanks again,
