Cost to paint and reassemble 2002tii

Hi - does anyone have a general sense of how much it costs to paint and reassemble a 2002tii if all the metal work and primer is complete, the engine rebuilt and the rest of the parts are ready to go for re-assembly? Just looking for a ballpark figure for an everyday driver and not show quality.

Thanks

I'm in NY, but the car is located in the South, so I could look to get the work done in the south where car is or ship to NY and have work done up here.

I'm not clear on what u are trying to do. So what condition is the car in? Is it a complete running car and you are just looking to get it painted or is it completely disassembled and in pieces and you want it painted AND reassembled? For just a driver quality paint job and no body work expect $1500 minimum. For a paint and reassembly if it's in pieces well maybe 10k?

I believe you'll find the answers posted here will be an exercise in opinions (of the informed, unformed and uninformed type).

Here's mine (I've assembled/built a couple of street and race cars from scratch, so call me semi-informed).

If the vehicle is a bare shell with everything removed and disassembled, I'd think there's a minimum of 100 hours and perhaps double (or more) to assemble the car and get it running and driving. In part that depends on level of "ready-to-go." Obviously, the hourly rate will matter. In just the paint job alone, prices could range from $1,500 to $15,000 (the bigger number being more of a show quality). For the paint job, you might start by sourcing and costing quality brand, type and amount of paint as a data point.

Enjoy the process. -KB

depends of level of disassembly. I have my cars painted, with all trim removed, the windows out and engine removed. My painter can't do it for under $7K  (on a time and material basis) and that does not include disassembly/reassembly. Just bodywork (to bare metal) primer and paint.

My car is basically at this stage. It will probably enter the paint booth in the next month, and then will 'come home' to me for reassembly. I can't imagine you getting the car painted and reassembled for less than $10k..$15k more like it.

What about the interior; headliner, seats, carpet? Tires, wheels, trim. This stuff adds up.

I'd be careful if I were you.

I've done a little research here in CT, and depending on amount of pre-work, I'm being told anywhere from $10k -$25k at establishments considered "restoration shops."

At $25k for reassembling the aforementioned car, you're upside down from the get go.

There's some land in Florida I'd like you to take a chance on also.
