Do not understand "topic" field while leaving feedback

Recommended Posts

Good evening,

Great forum and appreciate all the hours you put into it.

Tried to leave feedback after buying several parts from fellow 02ers without luck.

The "topic" field constantly loops me back. I tried to enter "classfieds" as topic or name of the thread where the sale initiated all without luck.

What am I doing wrong? Would like to give credit to those reputable sellers on our forum

Thank you

Thank you Steve for responding to my question and a huge thumbs up for this excellent forum.

Copied the link from Classified section, pasted into the Topic field and still got the error message.

Attached you will see the screen shot of what I got. Do I need to do something different then copy and paste the Classified link?

Please advise because the feedback option is a great feature to keep the site honest

All the best,

JP from Houston

Well, i was wrong, the functionality has changed. All you have to do in the Topic field is start typing the title for the topic and it will try to autocomplete.

So, it is no longer  a URL, but a title

The title was typed. Tried both ways (typed and cut/paste) and got same error message.

Did noticed the first time when typing in the right corner a circle that turned. When I typed second time I noticed a pink block on the left side of the topic field.

Still does not allow me to save the fields and submit feedback. Let me know how I can help to solve this on this great site.

Hi, Steve,

I continue to have precisely the same issue as jplips when I attempt to leave feedback.  The field demands an entry but will accept no entries -- typed in, copied in -- that I can provide.

Thanks for all that you do for this community!

Best regards,

Steve C.

Steve,

The screenshot after 10 seconds is the same as above pics. Not sure if I can capture what I see which is as follows. When I type in the topic box, after every keyboard stroke is see in the right corner of the topic box for about 0.5 secs a symbol that is a rotating circle. It disappears after 0.5 sec and comes back only when I type. Similar to the member box but that one does finish the search option. Topic still does not on my machine.

Thank you for working on this, and appreciate this great site

I am having the same exact problem as JP.  Same things he described with the rotating symbol, seems like it is trying to search for something but it cannot find it.

Thanks,

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
