Can rear brake adjusters be replaced?

Hello all, I just took my rear brake drums off and the brake shoe adjusters, besides being frozen solid, the heads are completely stripped.  I would like to replace them, but cannot see a way of removing them.  Has anyone done this? And does anyone know where to buy these adjusters?

Thanks,

You'll have to replace the backing plates with the adjusters. I got by for a while on my car by filing off a few sides which made my 17mm nut a 16" nut.

You can consider larger E21 backing plates if you're going through the trouble.
