For a full welded-in race quality cage, go to a fabricator. You'll find them dwelling near major race courses. There are a few here in Sonoma County near Sears Point. There should be some near Portland.

But why do you want one? If it's a street thing, I REALLY suggest not going further than a bar.

If you're serious, having one built into the car to the limit of your class is REALLY worth the $5-700 premium.

I wanted a rollcage instead of a bar because the car is eventually going to be utilizing Alpina fiberglass front and rear fenders, a fiberglass hood and trunk lid; and I'm gonna need the extra protection. Especially if I go to fiber doors too. Not sure if putting in a cage will conteract these weightloss componets... The car was originally going to be a basic sidedraft street car, but my new job requires me to keep a clean driving record. Thanks for your help guys... I'll definitely get ahold of Hill Brothers.

My instinct tells me that you don't lose much safety factor when replacing the fenders and trunk with fiberglass. The hood probably offers a bit of crumple protection, and steel doors are certainly a better bet than fiberglass in a wreck...but the 2002 steel doors don't offer much in a T-bone situation anyways. The cage will outweigh the weight shed by going to fiberglass, most likely.

If you go for a full cage, including a bar above the windshield, be prepared to wear a half-helmet. The reduced clearance can turn a low-speed crash into a head injury, unless lots of padding or a helmet is used.

piece , so that you can still get people into the back seat, if you want to use the car in a conventional people hauling situation. i have that in my Inka. The rear seat was custom cut so that the bar's rear supports go "though" the seat. years ago, i used to ride in the backseat of my car(when it was owned by my friend) with the diag bar removed and it was not too bad. also, keep your OEM front belts in place so that you can undo harness rear attachment for rear pax.I have that in my Sahara- for rear pax i just undo the Schroths and use the 02 harness. Schroth system is designed to accomodate OEM belts along with Schroth hard point attachment- they send longer bolts. Unless you have a harness bar built into the roll bar. my roll bar does not have a harness bar(i wish it did initialy, but i bought inertial reels for the schroth harnesses that will make daily driving a lot more easy. another thing to think about when chosing a system. here are a couple pics of inka bar....standard.jpg.....standard.jpg......standard.jpg.....good luck.
