Hi Steve--

You may have noticed I added S&S-16 to the SF Calendar today.  As I looked at your overall calendar I noted that today's post to the SF Calendar is in addition to the existing overall post, so it is redundant there.  Realizing how few events are in your overall calendar I consider an SF Calendar very low priority (especially since I did not realize when composing my post that I had to provide location twice, once to post and another time for the map.  I did not see a way to change the map from Alabama to Sierra Point.). We can simply look at the overall calendar and our events should be pretty obvious.

But adding any SF Bay Area Calendar post to the Bayarea 02 Forum is probably a good idea.

I did see your addition. I subscribe to that calendar and i would recommend others to do so.  It is easier to sort through events when they are on a specific calendar. You can chose SF Area and see all upcoming events. Or choose "view all calendars" and see all events. I will see if i can fix the map.  Is there an actual address for the location?

It looks like at the moment i can only automatically create the topic in the "General Forum" and not in the group one. That might change in the future, but not right now.

Hi Steve--

The Brisbane Marina's official address is 400 Sierra Point Parkway, Brisbane, CA 94005, which is the marina building with office.  While we both know to drive to the Northeast corner of Sierra Point, we of course know there is no street address for that parking lot.  I'm fine using the Marina address and rely on signs for the last few hundred feet.  And I'm not in a rush (yet...).

Thanks for your help; making changes is usually frustrating and always an effort!

If they do not work for you/ decided to go a different route/ don't want them you are more than welcome do whatever you want with them.  If you find someone who would like them feel free to pass them on.  Just make sure they know the threads are cut and are iffy.  I did clean them and chased them before I gave them to you, so they should still be usable.  I ran the nut back and forth a couple times and it worked for me.

Sorry I was not able to stay and have breakfast with you guys.  I only had time stop for some pics.  Compliments to all the cars, well done, and some of the cleanest 02s I have seen.  You guys have your cars dialed in!DSC_9319.JPGDSC_9320.JPGDSC_9326.JPGDSC_9328.JPGDSC_9324.JPGDSC_9330.JPG

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
