I need to start putting a list together on what needs work.  Not sure how much I can get done in the next couple days as I just had one of my wisdom teeth pulled.

Btw,  "direct"  is the simplest one.  I am actually glad new software can support it as it makes things simple for people who are not used to certain things :)

Direct links are now recognized for a lot of things.  I'll need to create a few tutorials on what can actually be accomplished when I am finally done with the update.

that is a link to the page, not the photo.  Use "Direct" from the sharing option

I have always used the HTML copy and paste method for my posts. If I used the IMG method a smaller image (like a thumbnail) would appear.  I use the Email and IM for those specific purposes.

I don't think we have ever allowed HTML on the posts. That is usually not a good idea as sites cannot control the HTML that you are embedding.  BB Code ability used to be there. (the one with square brackets)

Started to notice when I copy the "direct" image from PB, FAQ notification indicates the picture is embedded and asks me if I want to change them to a link.

Should I do this?

If you want it to be embedded,  just leave them the way they are.  If you want it to be just a link and not the image them use the option to make it a link.

I would recommend embedded imaged.
