Hi all, can anyone provide me with information regarding the 2000 NK door buffers?  Are they only for the 2000 NK models?

- diameter of the roller?

- material?

- are they still available for purchase?

Thank you....

Easy - they're made out of a synthetic material that's guaranteed to have crumbled to bits by now and the buffers are entirely NLA. Even if you found NOS examples they would soon disintegrate after installation. On my car they are held together by overspray.

Thanks for your response, would you have a photo of the one that's installed in your car?  At your earliest convenience of course....

I have a feeling they are NLA...

I do have some from the group buy. I believe Luis Arisso coordinated the buy.

If you need two I may have two to spare.

Is this what are you looking for?

I bought it from Germany last year, some one made it.

Yes, those are the pieces.  I believe there is a plastic or rubber roller as well?  Did that come as a set?

If the car is really a '69, than those are the wrong buffers. Series II NK's have '02 style latch/buffer assemblies.

RE:  Door Buffers

In a few weeks I should be getting a few dozen early 2000 NK door buffers & "roller" (not sure of the correct name) in my possession.  FYI, the "guide" will be made with "Delrin" (POM, Polyoxymethylene) color: white.  The roller (color: black) will be made with "Superlene Nylon" (Engineering Plastic).

Any members interested in these items kindly let me know so that I can put those items on "reserved".  As far as pricing, I have not established a price for each of the items yet.  But, for sure it will be at a reasonable price.

Feel free to contact me @   [email protected]

My gray door threshold strips are riveted on, too.  Production date Oct 27th, 1966.  The corner is broken on one of them, so I would be interested.  Also in the rollers.  (Email sent).
