Depends on the size. I would just put 'xx mm BMW emblem' into Google and see what you get.

Example: 20mm https://store.bobsbmw.com/product/bmw-emblem-3d---20mm

Ask Joachim at BTS Autoteile.

He has shown me their newly reproduced emblems for the shift knobs recently and they looked quite nice to me.

Regards, Lars.

Rapandi, were you ever able to get ahold of one of these? Mine measures 31mm. Poorly thought out glue after refurbishing mine caused it to bubble (still kicking myself for this).

Thanks :)

Unfortunately, I couldn't find another one. Lol I just gave up and powered on to other parts of the car. I have for now put it in the hard basket....

IE now sells a wooden knob, I believe.

When they announced it a while back, I asked if the insert was available separately and they said it would be.

I do not recall the size, but will try a search.

you are quite welcome.

if it is not too much trouble, perhaps you could come back and tell us what you learn.

I am not having luck with my search yet....

edit- I think the IE knob post was on august 12, 2016, based on messages exchanged with another member about a knob.  I wonder if I can search the site by date...?

So I did have luck finding one that was close enough in size (29mm to my needed 31mm) so I decided to purchase. I found it on Amazon. And for 6 bucks I can't argue.

It does have a slight yellow tint compared to my old one but I think it goes well with the old look and my sahara color. Also, the fit isn't as bad as I thought. Her are before and after pics of the refurb process. You will notice the old roundel that I messed up in the before photo. FYI: do not use any adhesive that will eat away at the back :( live and learn

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
