This is an unusual request in my experience, largely because Audiovox radios were somewhat rare in '02s, and were generally perceived as the "low-cost Japanese-built" option. Few BMW dealers handled them. I assume you realize that radios and antennas were NOT installed in '02s at the factory; they were installed by BMW dealers, owners, auto shops, and various aftermarket radio shops -- or not at all. Blaupunkts represented easily the largest percentage of '02 radios installed by BMW dealers, Beckers were fairly rare but were perhaps the second most common. And then there were a smattering of Motorolas, Audiovoxes, etc.

There's lots of info available on the forum regarding appropriate radio models and dating such radios, but much of it surrounds Blaupunkts, e.g.,

Nonetheless, period-correct Audiovox radios are out there. There weren't specific models built for '02s. '02s shared models with many other imported cars. A quick look at eBay will reveal numbers of vintage Audiovox radios, e.g.,

I don't, however, know the Audiovox dating conventions or whether typical BMW faceplates -- designed frequently for Blaupunkts -- will fit Audiovox radios of the same period. They might. But they might not.

Good luck with your search,

Steve
